I suppose I can now reveal all that is necessary to make muffins. Just some basic equipment will get you started ~I'm sure it isn't absolutely necessary to have a large yellow bowl, but bringing a bit of sunshine into the kitchen is not to be sniffed at!
The zester and the sifter are not always needed, it depends on your recipe. An oven is also required but if you saw the state of mine this week you wouldn't want to see a photo of it here, so I didn't bother. I figured you'd all recognise your own oven on entering your own kitchens so I didn't need to remind you how it looks.
I cook on gas, my oven is about 15 years old, so you will have to test your recipes and adjust the temperature and cooking times accordingly. I like my muffins to be squishy inside, so i always try and undercook them slightly, but some folks I know like them more toasted and crusty - each to his own, I say!
So now that you've got the basics I'll consider divulging my first recipe....now what flavour shall i choose?
