In answer to Kelsborrow's question about cup measures -
1 cup is 240ml
or so it says on the rim on the inside of the cup measure.
I have another cup measure that is slightly smaller, but only by a fraction.
When I use the 'half a cup' of sour cream I generaly use long life stuff bought in a jar (by discovery) which is about 150ml, so i am being a bit generous with it, but it saves me weighing it out each time, and I top up with milk when 3/4 of a cup is required.
I think American and Australian cup measures are different, but if you use the same one everytime, you'll know how much more or less to add to make your muffin batter just right - so experiment and have fun.
Thank you for this precious information :) -I admit I had totaly forgotten what means "cup" to us-
